There are lot of notes apps that claim to have this, but none work for me personally like Bear does. I like the interface, it's easy to organize and get going, I can drop in images if I need to quickly, or just not bother.īut one feature had me come running back, and that's Apple Watch support. I actually came back to Bear because it just works better for me, and it's really the little things. Also killer feature for me is I can use git to version control my "second brain".īear pro is super affordable and I won't be hitting the unsubscribe button just yet but I'd be lying if I said my finger isn't hovering over it. You can have the free unadulterated version and it's awesome but you can also really go to town with embedded databases, proper tables, end to end encrypted syncing to name a few things. It supports daily, weekly etc templates - in fact template snippets to embed within docs. With it's vibrant community, community and core plug-ins, full markdown support and themes it's great but what I think I like most is how customisable it is for my workflow. I have to say there's a lot to like and when I pitch it side by side with my beloved Bear, I have to say it's early days but I might have jumped the Bear ship. Over the weekend I stumbled upon Obsidian and thought I'd give it a trial. I've been using Bear every day for at least the last couple of years and it's always struck me as the reliable workhorse. We do not have plans to fully support writing LaTeX.We hope to release a public beta in a month or two. Our security code is currently being audited by a third-party company.
